About us
We are Claudine and Oliver Nyaguy, married chefs with Swiss-Italian roots. For more than 25 years we have shared life’s ups and downs, collecting countless adventures along the way. Originally, we both studied medicine and later ran a naturopathy practice in Switzerland for nearly two decades. This background has shaped our deep passion for health, wellbeing, and—above all—healthy eating.
Our kitchen is guided by the Mediterranean diet, with a focus on fresh, whole foods: colorful vegetables, seasonal fruits, legumes, nuts, seeds, grains, and, from time to time, local fish and seafood. We live in harmony with nature, with respect for Mother Earth and her cycles, and we bring this philosophy into everything we cook and share.
Together we are blessed with four children. Our three sons live in Switzerland, while our daughter resides in the United States. With her husband, she owns Brighter Day Foods, a well-loved health food store in Savannah, Georgia. Back in Switzerland, our sons carry on the family tradition of hospitality at Schwandegg Castle in the picturesque Stammertal wine region near Zurich. Once a historical gem we managed ourselves for many years, the castle has become a culinary landmark, cherished by locals and visitors alike. Since 2019, our sons—talented chefs and pâtissiers with a flair for innovation—have proudly taken over its restaurant and hotel, preserving its legacy while bringing fresh creativity to its kitchen.
